The Milwaukee Bucks have not had the services of their starting center over the past couple of games. Brook Lopez has been away from the team due to personal reasons, with the Bucks opting not to provide any information on the reason behind the former All-Star’s rather mysterious absence.
The Bucks are in action again on Thursday night as they host the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Fiserv Forum. Fans will be glad to know that Lopez will now make his return after a two-game absence.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Brook Lopez Good to Go Vs. Timberwolves
Lopez headed into Thursday’s matchup with probable tag which means that there was a good chance that he would be back. True enough, head coach Doc Rivers confirmed just hours before tip-off that Lopez would indeed make his return against the Wolves:
“He’s in,” Rivers stated, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic.
The Bucks could definitely use all the help they can get at this point following their brutal 1-4 run in their last five games on the road. Lopez returning should alleviate a lot of pressure from Giannis Antetokounmpo (probable to play), especially on the defensive end.
Lopez’s return becomes even more important with Damian Lillard (left ankle sprain) questionable to play and Khris Middleton (also a left ankle sprain) ruled out against Minnesota.
Jae Crowder is on the injury report as well, although he is considered probable to play.
