Nobody will probably contest the notion that the Milwaukee Bucks would not have won on Sunday against the Portland Trail Blazers had it not been for Giannis Antetokounmpo. Not only did the former back-to-back MVP lead the charge for Milwaukee on both ends of the floor, but Giannis also came up with a couple of clutch plays down the stretch to close out the game.
Needless to say, Antetokounmpo was at his very best yet again in Milwaukee’s incredible 26-point comeback win against Portland.
Brook Lopez Praises Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Heroics for Milwaukee Bucks

After the massive win, Bucks veteran Brook Lopez just had to heap praise on Antetokounmpo’s late-game heroics, which included a game-saving block on former Milwaukee combo guard Malcolm Brogdon in the dying seconds.
After scoring the go-ahead bucket for the Bucks, Giannis was the hero on the opposite end as well as he blocked away Brogdon’s game-tying attempt with just 15 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.
“That’s what he does,” Lopez said of Antetokounmpo’s clutch dfenesive play, via Eric Nehm of The Athletic. “And it’s great to be able to have that option ready to go. Switch it up and have that option, it’s a bit more aggressive. I mean, no one really wants to be going against him one-on-one.”

Brook Lopez was not on the floor for the final defensive play, which prompted head coach Adrian Griffin to have his players switch everything up. As Lopez said, once Giannis had Brogdon matched up one-on-one, there was just going to be one result.
