Bobby Portis had one of his best games of the season for the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday. The veteran big man went off for 31 points to match his season-high as he helped the squad overcome Kevin Durant and Co., 140-129.
Performances like these solidify Portis’ role as a key player on the squad as well as being one of the most well-loved figures within the team. For his part, the 29-year-old took the opportunity to give a little love back to the Bucks faithful.
Bobby Portis Shouts Out Milwaukee Bucks Fans
Portis was a man on a mission on Sunday with Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined with a hamstring issue. Damian Lillard took over the helm for the shorthanded Bucks, but Portis knew that he too had to step up in the absence of their talisman.
This resulted in 31 big points for the former Arkansas standout on 13-of-20 shooting. He also logged 10 rebounds, two assists, and three steals, while also connecting on all five of his attempts from deep.
After the game, Portis took to Twitter to send a heartfelt message to the fans:
🗣️ I want to give you all my love 🏀❤️ #UD pic.twitter.com/0nFsWaqnjn

The best one among the photos he posted has to be Portis celebrating in front of the capacity crowd at the Fiserv Forum. There’s no doubt that the 6-foot-10 big man is a huge energy guy for the Bucks, and he certainly knows how to get the fans going.
Portis will need to keep his foot on the gas for Milwaukee’s next game as they prepare to face off against the league-best Boston Celtics on Wednesday.
