At this point, it’s no longer rumors as much as it is a poorly kept secret. I am pertaining to recent reports stating that Milwaukee Bucks veteran Bobby Portis called out head coach Adrian Griffin in the aftermath of their very disappointing loss to the Indiana Pacers in the semifinal of the NBA In-Season Tournament.
Apparently, Portis had a few things to say to his coach, and he did just that in front of the whole squad.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Bobby Portis Defines Leadership

Neither Portis nor Griffin denied the reports. Both questioned how the incident was leaked to the public when it was supposed to be a matter that remained behind closed doors.
For his part, Portis implied that he felt it was his responsibility to speak out when he saw the need to. Being that he is one of the leaders of this squad, the veteran feels obliged to take on this thankless responsibility.
In case there’s anyone out there questioning Portis’ leadership style, the 6-foot-10 big man provided a textbook definition of how he feels a leader should carry himself. According to Portis, leadership is “a representation of the way you work with your team to achieve goals.”

By this standard, it’s hard to deny that Portis is a leader in every sense of the word. You can probably ask any player on the Bucks and they will all say that Portis is one of the the most goal-driven and passionate people you’d ever meet.
Portis may rub off on others the wrong way, but this is just the price you pay for being an uncompromising fellow who always has his eyes locked in on the ultimate prize.
The Bucks would not have it any other way.
