Bobby Portis has had his fair share of big games for the Milwaukee Bucks early in the season. The veteran busted out another one on Monday night as he exploded for a season-high 19 points off the bench to help Milwaukee take down the Chicago Bulls, 118-109.
Portis took on his usual role off the bench, and boy did he deliver.
Milwaukee Bucks’ Bobby Portis Reacts to Big Performance Vs. Bulls
Portis needed just 25 minutes on Monday to impact the game yet again. He went 7-of-10 on his shots, which includes 3-of-6 from beyond the arc. The 6-foot-10 big man logged a 19-point, 10-rebound double-double with two assists, a block, and zero turnovers.
After the game, Portis admitted that it has been a brutal past few games for Milwaukee, and they wanted to make sure that they were going to bounce back on Monday night against the Bulls:
“Man, just the sense of urgency,” he said. “Two stinker games from us being on the road, being in Orlando and Indiana. We wanted to come back and get that bad taste out of our mouths. Obviously, the last 48 hours sucked for us. But just trying to come out here with some grit, play with some passion, bring some energy. The biggest thing is get a win.”
"Playing with swagger and confidence, like I always say, is a big thing."

Portis is not going to be an All-Star nor will he be taking All-NBA honors. However, if he keeps on playing like this, Portis could be in line for the Sixth Man of the Year title for the first time in his career.
