When Milwaukee Bucks star Khris Middleton first injured his ankle last Tuesday against the Phoenix Suns, Giannis Antetokounmpo hinted that his teammate could be out through the All-Star break.
As it turns out, Giannis was right.
Milwaukee Bucks Rule Khris Middleton Out Vs. Grizzlies
The Bucks play their final game before the much-awaited All-Star break on Thursday when they visit the Memphis Grizzlies at the FedEx Forum. It has now been confirmed that they will be without Middleton after the three-time All-Star was officially ruled out from the game due to a left ankle sprain.
This will be Middleton’s fifth consecutive game on the sidelines, which frankly, does not come as a surprise. The 32-year-old was in a walking boot after the Suns game, and it did feel like this was going to be a relatively lengthy injury spell for him.
Milwaukee supporters will now be hoping that Middleton is able to heal up over the next week as the Bucks go on their mid-season break. Their next game will be on February 23 against the No. 1 seed in the West, the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the best-case scenario for them is if Middleton is available for that matchup. That would have given him a full two weeks of rest.
