The Milwaukee Bucks will have the 23rd pick in the 2024 NBA Draft and several UCONN Huskies players are entering the NBA Draft. UCONN has won back-to-back titles in college basketball and it was the first time since the 2006-2007 Florida Gators it has happened.

Milwaukee needs to find younger players in the draft that will help them out in the long run. One of the positions that general manager Jon Horst needs to take a look at this summer is the wing position.
The Milwaukee Bucks Should Take a Look at Drafting UCONN Huskies Alex Karaban In the 2024 NBA Draft

Franco Luca of behindthebuckpass.com thinks there are four potential players that the Milwaukee Bucks should take a look at in the 2024 NBA Draft for the wing position. One of those players is UCONN Huskies Alex Karaban. He played a huge role for the Huskies this past season and was one of the starters.
The reason why Luca thinks the Bucks should target Karaban in the 2024 NBA Draft is as follows:
“From Bryn Forbes to Grayson Allen to Malik Beasley, the Milwaukee Bucks have needed reliable shooters to maximize Giannis Antetokounmpo’s driving ability, and UConn sophomore Alex Karaban fits the bill perfectly. He shot a scorching 49.5 percent from the field in his sophomore season, including a respectable 38 percent from three. His ability to stretch the floor would create driving lanes for Giannis and open up scoring opportunities for his other teammates.
Standing at 6-foot-8, his height is definitely more suited for the forward spots than shooting guard. But make no mistake, Karaban isn’t just a shooter; he’s a smart player who understands the game. He makes good decisions with the ball, can find open teammates within the offense and cuts effectively without the ball. This intelligence would seamlessly integrate him into the Bucks’ system, known for its emphasis on ball movement and efficient shot selection.
Much like his fellow Huskie-turned-Buck Andre Jackson Jr., Karaban was a key contributor to UConn’s back-to-back national championships. He understands the pressure of winning and thrives in high-stakes situations. This winning mentality aligns perfectly with the Bucks’ championship aspirations.”
Alex Karaban played in 39 games this past season for the Huskies. He averaged 13.3 PPG, 5.1 RPG, 1.5 APG, 0.8 BPG, and 0.9 SPG last season with the UCONN Huskies.

UCONN was also the regular season Big East Champions and conference tournament champions in 2023-2024. The Milwaukee Bucks need to get younger. Adding Karaban to this basketball team would help the offense out because they need players on this roster who can knock down the three-ball.
