The Milwaukee Brewers are off to a scorching start in 2023. After 10 games the Brewers have a 7-3 record, good enough for the best win percentage in the National League (second best in the MLB). Their early season series wins against the Cubs, Cardinals, and Mets put them in a great position. However, the Milwaukee Brewers received some pretty tough news today regarding one of their best starting players.
Starting Pitcher Brandon Woodruff Headed To 15 Day IL

According to the Milwaukee Brewers:
RHP Brandon Woodruff placed on the 15-day injured list with right shoulder inflammation, retroactive to April 8.
Brandon Woodruff is coming off a strong start against the Cardinals on Saturday. He threw 5 1/3 scoreless innings in an eventual shutout win. He threw a total of 84 pitches in that match-up. He didn’t respond as hoped between appearances, though, and the Brewers will put him on the shelf.
Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel tweets that the club is hopeful it’ll be a minimal stint, which would cost him two starts. In total, Woodruff made two starts this season, giving up just one earned run in 11.1 innings. It is unclear how suffered the injury.
