The Milwaukee Brewers picked up their ninth road win of the season on Saturday afternoon as they routed the St. Louis Cardinals by a score of 12-5. Despite the lopsided score DL Hall was shaky for the Crew in this game, but William Contreras managed to stay hot at the plate and Jackson Chourio made some more history.
A not so good start for Milwaukee Brewers pitcher DL Hall.
Southpaw DL Hall, who was acquired in the Corbin Burnes trade and has just one minor league option remaining, struggled in this game. Frequently he worked ahead of hitters but he was unable to put them away and ended up walking five batters across 3.2 innings pitched. He additionally was tagged with four earned runs and his season ERA now sits at 7.71.
William Contreras stayed hot at the plate and several others also contributed to a rout of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Catcher William Contreras brought in both of the Milwaukee Brewers runs a night before and during Saturday’s game he stayed hot at the plate by collecting three more hits and a run batted in. Rhys Hoskins, Brice Turang, and Jackson Chourio all had home runs in which Turang and Chourio hit back-to-back jacks. All together the Brewers collected 18 hits in which everyone in the lineup and Oliver Dunn was the only player to not have a multi-hit game.

Jackson Chourio made some more history.
Brewers statistician Dominic Controneo provided some incredible statistics regarding Jackson Chourio in this game. The first is that he has become the fourth youngest player since 1900 with at least four home runs in his first 17 career games. Secondly he noted that since World War two he became the eighth player 20 years and 40 days of age or younger to reach base four times in a game that includes at least one home run.
The Brewers will go for a sweep of the Cardinals tomorrow afternoon with the first pitch at 1:15 PM CT. Milwaukee is 9-2 on the road this season. Only the Cleveland Guardians have more road wins then them currently with 10.
