Milwaukee Bucks superstar G Damian Lillard seemingly dumped water on the notion that he’s unhappy in Milwaukee.
In his weekly media availability on Friday, Lillard revealed how challenging this season has been for him, especially off the court.
Milwaukee Bucks G Damian Lillard put to rest rumors that he’s unhappy in Milwaukee.
Since the blockbuster trade from Portland to Milwaukee last September, NBA analysts have speculated Damian Lillard doesn’t want to be in Milwaukee.
Lillard revealed his thoughts on the matter Friday. (Via Bucks Breakdown).
Dame: “I saw somebody say “Dame’s not happy in Milwaukee” or something like that. And i know the truth. I love the situation that I’m in. I also know what i have going on outside of basketball that kinda drains me at times.” https://t.co/759UZ3JLzR pic.twitter.com/2G8gUARPwP

“I saw somebody say Dame’s not happy in Milwaukee or something like that, and I know the truth,” Lillard said. “I love the situation I’m in, I also know what I have going on outside of basketball that kinda drains me at times….
“People going to make comments, people going to say things and if it doesn’t go the way they say it’s going to go nobody’s ever came to them and ‘alright you said this what do you got to say about it, they’re never held accountable for what they say publicly, they just move on to the next thing.”
Lillard seemingly took a shot at ESPN analyst Stephen A. Smith, who’s expressed doubts all season about Lillard’s excitement level to being in Milwaukee.
Damian Lillard didn’t look like the same player this season. His efficiency ratings took a slight hit, and it took him a while to find his groove in the Bucks offense.
This was Lillard’s first time playing with someone of the caliber of Giannis Antetokounmpo. Giannis was willing to give Dame the keys to the offense, but for most of the year, it looked like two guys stepping on the gas, and neither wanted to take control.
With Giannis expected to miss the start of the first-round series against the Indiana Pacers, it’s time for Lillard to show why Milwaukee traded for him.
This is where Damian Lillard plays his best basketball, where he’s come through on so many occasions throughout his career. Can he do it again?
That question will be answered against the Pacers.
