The Milwaukee Brewers and their minor league affiliate teams seasons are all underway. This was Opening Weekend for the Double-A levels and below whereas Triple-A has more than a weeks worth of games under their belt.
Here we will take a look at two stand out pitching performances this weekend from a pair of Brewers minor league pitchers. One was at the Triple-A level and the other Double-A.
Milwaukee Brewers minor league pitcher Tobias Myers recorded a strikeout total in the double digits.
25 year old Tobias Myers, who was a sixth round draft pick in 2016 by the Baltimore Orioles, joined the Brewers organization as a minor league free agent signing in the fall of 2022. In 2023 he made 26 starts at the Double-A level with the Biloxi Shuckers and pitched to a 5.03 ERA. He is starting 2024 in Triple-A with the Nashville Sounds and this weekend he pitched a gem that consisted of 5.2 innings pitched, five hits allowed, one walk, and 10 strikeouts.

Milwaukee Brewers minor league pitcher Tyler Woessner pitched six shutout innings during his 2024 season debut.

Tyler Woessner, a 24 year old who was selected by the Brewers in the sixth round of the 2022 MLB draft out of Central Arizona JC, had a season debut that players dream of. He threw six scoreless innings, allowed two hits, walked none, struck out eight, and generated 16 whiffs.
