The Milwaukee Brewers have placed starting pitcher Jakob Junis on the 15-day injured list. Team officials indicate that this was done out of precaution. However his next turn in the rotation is projected for Monday, April 8 and they will need to fill that void with someone else.
Jakob Junis lands on the Milwaukee Brewers 15-day IL due to shoulder impingement.

Junis is being placed on the IL with the diagnosis of shoulder impingement. Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel shared that he had an MRI that was clean and the plan is to have him take it easy for a few days before ramping back up again. This season Junis has just one game under his belt in which he covered four innings and threw 47 pitches.
Aaron Ashby is expected to start on Monday, April 8 against the Cincinnati Reds.

Per Adam McCalvy the player who is expected to start in replace of Junis on Monday is southpaw Aaron Ashby. Ashby is in Milwaukee currently as a member of their taxi squad. He missed all of 2023 recovering from shoulder surgery, had a rough spring training, and has not pitched on a big league mound since 2022.
Wade Miley is close to returning to the Milwaukee Brewers.

Veteran pitcher Wade Miley began the year on the IL for the Brewers and on Friday he completed a three inning and 55 pitch rehab assignment. His next game will likely come in the big leagues. Because he last threw on Friday he won’t be selected to start against the Reds on Monday with just two days rest.
The Brewers likely will likely have to continue patching together their starting rotation. They claimed Vladimir Gutierrez off waivers earlier this week and also have Janson Junk and Bradley Blalock as 40-man roster depth options.
