The Milwaukee Brewers are in need of a manager after Craig Counsell elected to sign with the Chicago Cubs. According to Ken Rosenthal a few names have emerged as potential candidates for the position including Pat Murphy, Don Mattingly, Joe Espada, Clayton McCullough,Troy Snitker; and Rickie Weeks.
Not mentioned above is another candidate that could be considered who also is a former Brewers player. That is Carlos Gomez. He threw his own name in the ring for the Crew’s managerial opening after news broke of him being named the manager for the Dominican All-Stars.

It is unknown if the Brewers have reached out to Carlos Gomez or not, but it is fun to think about the energy that he would bring to the clubhouse each and every day. Carlos Gomez could be that guy.
