On Tuesday, the Milwaukee Brewers started a three-game series with the San Francisco Giants. After winning the first two games and then taking a 4-3 loss against the Oakland Athletics, the Brewers have now lost back-to-back games and will look to take the upper hand in this series against the Giants. Milwaukee had the edge in this one until San Francisco scored two runs at the top of the seventh. The Brewers couldn’t come back from this and would take a 5-4 loss.
The Brewers are 75-56 following this loss. They have a nine-game lead in the NL Central division over the second-place Chicago Cubs. San Francisco is now 67-66. The Giants trail the first-place Los Angeles Dodgers by 12 games in the NL West division.

A half inning later, Brewers left fielder Jackson Chourio obliterated a two-run home run to left-center field that went the distance at 449 feet. San Francisco would tie this game up at two runs a piece at the top of the fourth inning when Giants third baseman Matt Chapman ripped a solo home run. An inning later, Brewers center fielder Blake Perkins robbed a home run by Thairo Estrada.
Giants 7th Inning Brings Them to Victory
The next batter, Giants center fielder Grant McCray hit a solo home run to right field to give San Francisco a 3-2 lead. During the bottom of the sixth inning, Brewers shortstop Willy Adames smacked a two-run home run to left-center field, giving Milwaukee a 4-3 lead. In the next half inning, Giants right fielder Mike Yastrzemski lined a two-run home run to right field. San Francisco would hold their 5-4 lead for the rest of the game, as the Brewers offense had no answers.

San Francisco Giants starting pitcher Logan Webb pitched five innings allowing four runs on four hits and three walks while striking out four batters. Matt Chapman was the only Giants player to record a multi-hit game as he went three for four with an RBI in the win.
Milwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Tobias Myers pitched five innings allowing three runs on three hits and a walk while striking out four batters. Willy Adames went two for five with two RBIs in the loss. Sal Frelick was the only other Brewers player to record a multi-hit game as he went two for four. Hopefully, the Brewers don’t let these losses get to them mentally and can continue to lead the NL Central.
