Milwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich has been off to a hot start to the 2024 MLB season. In Tuesday’s 3-2 win in the home opener against the Minnesota Twins, Yelich went 1-for-4 and hit a solo home run.

With the win for the Brewers, they improve to 4-0 on the season and the Twins fall to 2-2 on the season. For the first time in franchise history, this is the best start. After the game, Yelich had high praise for first-year manager Pat Murphy. He told the media after the game by saying:
“He’s intense, but he keeps it light. He’s always the same guy.”
That intensity showed right off the bat in the first series against the New York Mets on the road. The good news is that even with the off day on Monday, they did not look tired at all. Yelich also added after the game despite the 4-0 start by saying:
“We’ve played well so far, but I also think we have room for improvement, which is really cool too.”
It feels like it is a new day with high expectations for the Brewers. The fact they are 4-0 and they want to grow means they want to get better in their game.
Milwaukee Brewers and Outfielder Christian Yelich Will Look To Improve To 5-0 On Wednesday Afternoon

The Brewers will have a chance to go to 5-0 on Wednesday afternoon with the first pitch scheduled for 12:10 p.m. CT against the Minnesota Twins. Milwaukee will have another off day on Thursday before the weekend series at home against the Seattle Mariners.

Manager Pat Murphy is hoping Christian Yelich and the rest of the team bring the same energy in the fifth game as they have in the first few games of the season. It is a long season so they are not going to be perfect every single game. They were 90-72 a season ago and with the energy of Murphy as being the manager, it feels like they can win more than 90 games this season.
The Pittsburgh Pirates are off to a 5-0 start this season as well in the National League Central, but the Milwaukee Brewers are a better baseball team than them. It is good to see that Yelich has spoken positively to the media on behalf of Murphy after Craig Counsell left to be the manager of the Chicago Cubs in the offseason. The Brewers fanbase is very fond of Pat Murphy early on in the 2024 season.
