The fourth-ranked Marquette Golden Eagles will have a massive road test on Tuesday night against the 23rd-ranked Illinois Fighting Illini. Both teams are 2-0 on the year and should be NCAA Tournament contenders this season.
This college basketball contest will top-off at 7 p.m. CT and it will be televised on Fox Sports 1. This will be a good measuring stick to see where the Golden Eagles are early on in the season after winning both games by double digits. Illinois has also won their first two games by double digits.

Players that the Marquette Golden Eagles Should Keep an Eye on When Facing the #23 Ranked Illinois Fighting Illini
Illinois’s last game was against the Oakland Golden Grizzlies this past Friday night. There were three players who scored in double figures for the Fighting Illini. Terrence Shannon Jr. led Illinois with 15 points and he also grabbed two rebounds, recorded five assists, and also recorded three steals.
Quincy Guerrier recorded a double-double for the Illinois Fighting Illini with 13 points and 10 rebounds. He also recorded one assist and blocked one shot. The other player on the roster who scored in double figures this past Friday night was Dain Dainja with 10 points.
The Marquette Golden Eagles defense will need to clamp down on Tuesday night against a good Illinois Fighting Illini basketball team. Illinois will be a good road test for Marquette, but there is too much talent on the Golden Eagles roster for them to lose this matchup. Expect Tyler Kolek to be much sharper in this matchup when the game is on the line.
