This college basketball contest will top-off at 7 p.m. CT and it will be televised on Fox Sports 1. This will be a good measuring stick to see where the Golden Eagles are early on in the season after winning both games by double digits. Illinois has also won their first two games by double digits.
In the last game for the Marquette Golden Eagles against the Rider Broncos, Kam Jones scored 23 points, grabbed six rebounds, recorded four assists, and also recorded four steals. Oso Ighodaro recorded a double-double with 13 points and grabbed 11 rebounds. He also recorded four assists, blocked two shots, and recorded one steal.

Quincy Guerrier recorded a double-double for the Illinois Fighting Illini with 13 points and 10 rebounds. He also recorded one assist and blocked one shot. The other player on the roster who scored in double figures this past Friday night was Dain Dainja with 10 points.
The Marquette Golden Eagles defense will need to clamp down on Tuesday night against a good Illinois Fighting Illini basketball team. Illinois will be a good road test for Marquette, but there is too much talent on the Golden Eagles roster for them to lose this matchup.
