The Green Bay Packers are a team that media loves to hate on. They have, however, been an easy target due to their lack of multiple championships with Aaron Rodgers under center. Chris Simms was the latest “media guy” to take a shot at Green Bay. However this time he immediately ate his words as fans quickly pointed out how incorrect his statement was.
Chris Simms Get Roasted:
Simms was attempting to say that Green Bay can’t continue to win games they way they’ve been playing. Specifically he mentioned their “lack of explosive plays.” Here is the full tweet:
Aaron Rodgers is right. The Packers style of play is not sustainable to be a Super Bowl team. They can handle the mid-level teams by being precise and efficient. But without more explosive plays, they aren't in the class of the top group

Simms was quickly made aware just how wrong his take was. Many fans in the replies had fun with their response:
Just leaving this here big guy. Hope you’re well 🙂 https://t.co/AIFVcH5gpq

The Eagles lead the NFL with 36 explosive plays.
The Packers have 35.
Stop trolling.

Hey Chris, this is off. Packers offense actually needs to be much more consistent (or precise) and cut out the drive-killing mistakes, some of which are self-inflicted. They’ve been plenty explosive (35 in 4 games!).
— Zach Kruse (@zachkruse2) October 5, 2022
To reference watch Zack Kruse said, Aaron Rodgers is correct in the fact that this type of play is not sustainable. However, it has nothing to do with their lack of explosive plays. They’re actually tied for second in the league with 35 through four weeks. Which is pretty remarkable given the fact they lost their best wide receiver in the off-season. Where they need to be better is maintaining consistent scoring drives.
Green Bay will have a change to change that this week when they play the Giants in London. However, they will have to do so against a defense that is ranked ninth in points allowed per game (17.8).
