Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers are looking to do something special in 2023. “Special” doesn’t have to mean win the Super Bowl in Love’s first year starting (although that’d be nice), but rather proving to the rest of the league that Love can be the next franchise quarterback in Green Bay. In order to do that, Love will have to show flashes of greatness throughout the year. It turns out those flashes have already started before the season even started.
Jordan Love Makes Crazy Patrick Mahomes Throw At Green Bay Packers Family Night

When it comes to Packers training camp, Family Night is the biggest practice session of them all. So, naturally, fans come out to see the best/most important players produce some highlight-reel plays. That was even more true in 2023 with the new era that has been ushered in.
Clearly, Jordan Love is one of those players. Reports have been up and down throughout training camp so far. He has had some nice moments, but the offense has also clearly struggled at times. Many fans were wondering if he’d show up in front of more than 65,000 Packers fans.
Per reports, Love started slowly, but really picked it up afterward. He finished 11-of-19 on the night, which included three passing touchdowns and several nice throws.
One of those touchdowns was an incredible sidearm throw to star running back Aaron Jones that had fans immediately comparing him to Patrick Mahomes:

Love will finally have his chance to lead the Packers after getting selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. His selection shocked the NFL world, considering that Aaron Rodgers was nowhere near done playing football.
