Joe Barry and the Green Bay Packers may not have been playing this past Sunday, but that didn’t stop fans from commenting on his defense’s performance in 2022. Both the AFC and NFC Championship Games touted some great defensive performances. From stellar tackling to defensive backs matching up with wide receivers at the line of scrimmage to clogging up running lanes. In other words, it was the exact opposite of the Packers’ defense in 2022, and fans were quick to point it out on social media.

Packers Fans Call Out Joe Barry on Social Media During Conference Championships
Over the course of 2022, the Packers’ defense became too well known for giving up long third down conversions by playing their defensive backs far off of the line of scrimmage. They also struggled to contain the run. Fans pointed out how different some of these championship-caliber defenses were and what mistakes were made that reminded them of Joe Barry.
Giving up 3rd and 16 in the AFCCG with the game possibly on the line? Big time Joe Barry energy.

One of two things is happening in this Bengals v Bills game. Either the Bengals offense is really good…OR Joe Barry has disguised himself as Leslie Frazier and is controlling the Bills defense. We may never know.

Matt Lafluer really sitting at home right now watching these two defenses go crazy and thinking about how he’s not firing joe Barry

Somehow the @packers would still be allowing 300+ rushing yards to San Francisco right now #packers #defense #joebarry

Head coach Matt LaFleur has already stated that Joe Barry will be back as the Packers defensive coordinator again in 2023. However, defensive backs coach Jerry Gray has taken another job with the Atlanta Falcons.
