The Green Bay Packers are going into the 2024 season with a ton of confidence. Especially on the offensive side of the ball. The second half of the 2023 season saw the Jordan Love-led offense playing as well as anyone in the league.
7-3 was their record over the final 10 games, which included the post season. Now there are some reports that the Packers are making a major change on offense for next season.
The Green Bay Packers Are Expected To Make A Major Change On Offense For 2024
ESPN.com Packers reporter Rob Demovsky spoke on the Wilde & Tausch radio show about a major aspect of the offense’s future:
“I think the starting center is on this team, but it’s not Josh Myers,” Demovsky said.
“I was told by a couple of people within the organization,” Demovsky said. “They think Zach Tom is a Pro Bowl right tackle, an All-Pro guard and a potential Hall of Fame center.”

As A Replacement For Josh Myers, Zach Tom Makes A Ton Of Sense
Packers fans shouldn’t be surprised by this. Tom had the best pressure rate of any right tackle in the NFL this season, giving up pressure only 5.5% of the time, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. Tom and Micah Parsons faced off nine times during the Packers’ wild card win over Dallas, and the elite right tackle gave up no pressure.
Myers was a star center at Ohio State before going pro in the 2021 NFL Draft. With the Packers, he struggled to get off to a good start. When he was a rookie, he missed significant time due to a knee injury.
It has been a struggle for Myers to maintain consistency since then. Tom could certainly be the long-term answer. Keeping Jordan Love upright will be the #1 goal of this offense in 2024.
