The Green Bay Packers are entering a new era with some uncertainties for 2023 and beyond. Despite being one of the youngest teams in the league, they have a strong roster that can compete and win in their division.
Let’s explore why the Packers have the potential to be contenders in 2023.
The Green Bay Packers Are Filled With Young Talent
The Packers believe they can still be competitive. Many young players have much to prove and are eager to make a significant impact and perform to the best of their abilities. Jordan Love has adapted well as QB1 to the new offense through OTAs and his offseason workouts.
On the defensive side, Green Bay Packers rookies like Lukas Van Ness and second-year player Quay Walker are expected to lead the defense and help the team win games. The defense also has some returning key players like Jaire Alexander and Preston Smith, who proved they make huge impacts. Overall, the young players on both offense and defense are ready to show their worth in the league and have nothing to lose.
The NFC & NFC North Are Weak Again
With Aaron Rodgers now playing in the AFC, it’s challenging to determine which quarterback is the best in the NFC. Unfortunately, the NFC might be weak again in 2023, with the NFC North potentially being the weakest division in the league. All four teams are in flux as they try to establish their identities. The Lions and Vikings will strive to make it to the playoffs while the Bears continue to rebuild.
Despite losing Aaron Rodgers, the Packers have a strong roster, possibly one of the best in the NFC, and shouldn’t be counted out of the running for the crown. The NFC and, more specifically, the NFC North are both wide-open, but the Green Bay Packers have a tight-knit and talented team that could surprise us all.
