The Green Bay Packers and Jordan Love are going through some ups and downs during their first season together.  Through their first three games the Packers were 2-1 and were just coming off a massive comeback win against the New Orleans Saints.  In fact, the Packers were one fourth-quarter collapse away (against the Atlanta Falcons) from being 3-0 on the year.

However, since week three the Packers have lost four in a row and the offense’s consistency has been at the forefront of the team’s problems. Today the Packers’ quarterbacks coach commented on Jordan Love’s progression so far this year.

Per Ryan Wood of USA Today Sports:

Packers QB coach Tom Clements on how youth around Jordan Love has affected him as a new starting QB:

“We haven’t played together a whole lot. With Aaron, the guys he was with when he was starting, he was with when he wasn’t starting. And that hasn’t been the case.”

A few weeks ago, Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Tom Clements compared the transition from Brett Favre to Aaron Rodgers to Jordan Love, insisting the Packers knew that Love would make a good quarterback – like they thought with Rodgers in 2008. How good? After only four starts in 2023, it’s impossible to know for sure, but Clements commented on the Packers’ beliefs:

You always anticipate based on how he’s practiced and done in the preseason and years past, you have an idea of how he might do when he becomes the full-time starter, and he’s confirmed our thoughts. He’s a good player,” Clements said Monday, per Packers.com.
