David Bakhtiari, who has been dealing with multiple knee problems and surgeries over the last two years, is expected to return in full force in 2023. During the 2022 season, the Green Bay Packers had seven different O-Linemen play at all five positions, including David Bakhtiari, Elgton Jenkins, Josh Myers, Royce Newman, Yosh Nijman, Jon Runyan, and Zach Tom. Despite these changes, Pro Football Focus ranked the Packers’ offensive line unit in the top three. With most of the unit returning to camp this year, it is expected to be the strongest unit on the team again.
Two-Headed Monster
The Green Bay Packers’ running game relies heavily on the contributions of Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon, both highly skilled players capable of making significant impacts on the field. Together, they have amassed 4,798 yards and 31 touchdowns over the past two seasons. Last season, Jones ranked 10th in the league for rushing, with 1,121 yards and two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Dillon had 770 yards and seven touchdowns. As both players head into essential contract years, they are poised for a successful season.
Based on the team’s analytics and players, the Green Bay Packers will have a solid rushing game in the 2023 season. This is due to the return of their entire O-Line, and enabling the offense to operate as intended. The combination of Jones and Dillion will also provide a powerful presence on the field, benefiting Jordan Love and leading to impressive results. It is anticipated that both players will experience an improvement in their stats this season.
