For a brief moment today, Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft made me want to play for the team. Football brings a certain level of imagery, an art form if you will, and Kraft painted an abstract of what life is like as an NFL blocker.
DAMN… #Packers rookie TE Tucker Kraft wants to PUNISH defenders and he likes VIOLENCE:
“I'm comfortable with VIOLENCE at the LOS. I want to PUNISH DEFENDERS as a blocker. I see the emotions in their face change once I put them on their heels. I can feel their breath leaving.… pic.twitter.com/JjQBkhSeTZ

With this answer, Tucker Kraft officially solidified himself as a Green Bay Packer. Over the past couple of years, much criticism has been lobbed in the direction of GM Brian Gutekunst and Head Coach Matt LaFleur because the fanbase has felt a soft culture has emanated in Green Bay.
With the selection of Kraft, Green Bay is slowly returning to being a tough-minded football team, and hopefully, this rubs off on the rest of the team.
How has TE Tucker Kraft’s expanded role helped the Green Bay Packers in the past few games?
Heading into the season, there were a lot of questions about which skill-position players were going to step up for the team. Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon were considered the veterans on offense, and Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs were heading into their second years. The rest of the players were rookies.
Tight end was a position group in question because Green Bay hasn’t had a game-changing tight end since Jermichael Finley. The selections of Kraft and Musgrave showed that the offense was going to be more tight-end-friendly, and while Musgrave was the go-to guy early in the season, it’s Kraft who has emerged the past few weeks due to the injury to Musgrave.
On the season, Kraft has 10 catches for 95 yards and one touchdown (which happened on Thanksgiving Day against the Detroit Lions.
It wouldn’t be surprising when Musgrave comes back, Kraft returns to being a natural blocking tight end. In the offense, Musgrave is the natural pass-catching tight end, and Kraft enjoys the blocking aspects of tight end.
But, with the way the offense has been clicking, the tight end production hasn’t mattered because Doubs, Watson, and Jayden Reed have filled their roles nicely.
It’ll be interesting to see if Kraft continues to have an expanded role in the offense for the Green Bay Packers. If Musgrave comes back.
