The Green Bay Packers made a surprising move on Tuesday when they traded their cornerback, Rasul Douglas, and a fifth-round pick to the Buffalo Bills for a third-round pick. This trade is raising questions among fans and players, especially since the Packers’ secondary has been struggling this season. Douglas was their number two cornerback and even their number one when Jaire Alexander was injured. Several players were confused about the trade in the locker room on Wednesday.
Green Bay Packers Rookie Carrington Valentine Speaks Out
Following the Douglas trade, rookie Carrington Valentine will be the second cornerback for the team going forward. Valentine displayed some promising skills during the Pre-Season and now has an opportunity to demonstrate to the team and fans his abilities. Here are Valentine’s words:
Carrington Valentine figures to start for Rasul Douglas. Here’s the rookie today on Douglas, who Valentine sat next to every day.
“I learned a lot from him. I appreciate everything. He didn’t have to do that, but with the opportunity, you always just gotta make the most of it.” pic.twitter.com/g51hbEUSnY

Pro-Bowler Speaks Out As Well
Kenny Clark has been the anchor of the Packers’ defense since he was drafted. He is one of those locker room guys who has experienced both the highs and lows with the team. On Wednesday, Clark expressed his discontent about Douglas being traded.
Kenny Clark on #Packers trading Rasul Douglas: “It really hurt. ‘Sul is a great friend and a great teammate. He’s one of those guys who put in a lot of work this offseason, this whole season. He definitely was one of the leaders on this team. So it was a tough pill to swallow.”

The Green Bay Packers are going through a challenging phase this season, and their performance is deteriorating further. The recent statements from some players indicate a growing rift between the team, its coaches, and the front office. As loyal Packers fans, it’s disheartening to hear such things, and we hope that the team can find a way to overcome these challenges and get back on track.

The Packer’s problem seems to center around their GM. He obviously didn’t like Rodgers confronting him when he drafted Love instead of getting a top receiver either by trade or draft. Now he sitting in on a “Rebuilding” year and the team sucks. I think to cover his mistakes and to push the “Rebuilding” shtick he got himself in, he’s trading more of the few remaining experienced players he has left. His only chance to save some face is to push “Rebuilding” this way he can try to cover up his huge mistake in drafting Love and loosing Roger’s. What a looser.
