The Green Bay Packers are no strangers to Hall of Fame quarterbacks. Monday, Peyton Manning stopped by to take in the Green Bay Packers’ first padded practice. Since retiring Manning has become a big media personality and was the producer for the hit Netflix show “Quarterback” which followed Patrick Mahomes, Marcus Mariota and Kirk Cousins.

When the news of Manning’s arrival hit social media, fan theories began to fly. Perhaps the most popular theory was that Manning was there to pitch Jordan Love on appearing on “Quarterback,” or something else related to the show. However, multiple outlets have said that it was not the case.

After practice, Manning took time to sign stuff for Packers fans. To say he was a popular guest would be an understatement. Manning was seen chatting it up with Green Bay Packers head coach Matt LaFleur as well as Mark Murphy. Manning also took time to speak to Christian Watson and Jordan Love during his stop in Green Bay.
Christian Watson was one of the few #Packers players who stopped by to chat with Peyton Manning during practice. On their exchange: “I went over there, and surprisingly he said he was a big fan. I was like, ‘No, I’m a big fan.’ It was a little back and forth, but it was cool.”

Jordan Love told me he chatted with Peyton Manning before practice. He’s about to go speak with him some more now. “Nothing about going on ‘Quarterbacks’ though,” he said.
Love smiled talking about breaking off a few deep balls with 18 there.
