The Green Bay Packers will be facing their divisional rival, the Detroit Lions, on Thursday Night Football in Week 4. Fans and media did not know what to expect from the Packers’ new starting quarterback, Jordan Love. It turns out that Love is not only being praised by his coaches and teammates but also by the media too.
This will be Jordan Love‘s first night game as the starter for the Green Bay Packers. He has impressed through his first three games this season. It has to continue as the Detroit Lions come to town, who came off of a good win in their last outing against the Atlanta Falcons last Sunday. The Lions have what may be the second-best defense in the NFC North division.
Green Bay Packers Quarterback Jordan Love Being Shown (Love) On Recent Podcast
Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love was shown (Love) on Wednesday ahead of the big game against the Detroit Lions on Thursday night. Media personality Kay Adams had some great things to say about the Packers starting quarterback:

If the Green Bay Packers can have a complete game against the Detroit Lions, the media will give even more praise to the new starting quarterback. Love has done the unthinkable through the first three contests, which already includes an improbable comeback performance.
Jordan Love’s Stats Through Week 3
In his first three starts for the Green Bay Packers, Love has been quite impressive on the stat sheet. It has been more about the four-year quarterback’s poise than just his statistics as of recently.
Jordan Love has completed 51-96 passes for seven touchdowns, and so far only one interception. Last week against the New Orleans Saints, Love went 22-44 for 259 yards, one passing touchdown, a rushing score, and one interception in their 18-17 comeback win at home.
Packers’ Offense And Injuries
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Romeo Doubs has been by far the number-one pass-catcher through the first few games. He has caught 11 passes for 129 yards and three touchdowns. Doubs caught a huge touchdown pass last week against the Saints that helped them secure the comeback win. Rookie wide receiver Jayden Reed has been stepping up as well.
Reed had a big diving catch for 30 yards from Jordan Love. It gave them big momentum as they were marching down the field in Week 3. On the other side, rookie wideout DonTayvion Wicks has completed some nice catches for the Green Bay Packers. Wicks has six receptions for 86 yards and one score up to this point in his early career.
As the season progresses, the young receivers will certainly be seeing the field more. Second-year wide receiver Christian Watson has been out to start the season with a hamstring injury. He is listed as questionable but could play on Thursday night against the Detroit Lions.
Starting running back Aaron Jones could also see some playing time in Week 4 but is also down as questionable. It is unknown as to whether or not they will play up until approximately game time on Thursday.
Is Jordan Love On A Better Path Than Aaron Rodgers
As far as this season goes, Jordan Love is on a better path than the former Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. He is out for the remainder of the season with a torn ACL that he suffered in his first game with the New York Jets. However, Rodgers did congratulate Jordan Love after his huge comeback win against the Saints.
Love did sit for three seasons behind Aaron Rodgers. Through three weeks, it has been shown that the new starting quarterback learned quite a bit from the former Green Bay Packers quarterback. The new man under center still has lots to prove and improve on as he starts to face tougher opponents and competition. If Jordan Love can keep his poise and composure in the coming weeks, the path to success will look even better for the new starter under center.
The Detroit Lions will not be an easy task and should not be taken lightly, despite the Packers having a home-field advantage on Thursday night at Lambeau Field. The game is set to kick off on Amazon Prime at 8:15 ET!
