The Green Bay Packers are peaking at the right time. For a league that has seen so many teams get off to hot starts, only to fizzle out, the Packers appear to be on the other side of that trend. There have also been teams that have even been crowned champions before the first kickoff of the season, proven to be far too soon. Yet time has showed that it is not how you start the marathon of a season, but it is about playing your best football toward the end of the season, and being healthy in time to make a playoff run.
Green Bay Packers Current Division Leaders
While the standings have the 6-6 Green Bay packers team currently as the third team in the division, the overall feeling of this team is telling a different story. While waiting for their Monday Night matchup against the New York Football Giants, the scene as been unraveling for their NFC North counterparts.

First of all, the Detroit Lions appear to be on the downward trajectory of a season slope. Coming in, they were arguably the most liked franchise from neutral fans. This was of course mainly due to Dan Campbell and their latest Hard Knocks appearance, with the same nucleus of players, it makes it hard to not enjoy the feel good story for some.
However, on this later third of the season, the truth that this team is not built for a playoff run is showing its’ face. Having struggled as of late against the Lions, the Saints, and losing to the Green Bay Packers, they are closer to imploding than not. Especially considering how Jared Goff is playing now, struggling against a Bears team that is competing with itself for a top five pick.
Green Bay Packers Peaking Now
Tied with a Vikings team that is not exactly stable at the quarterback position, after losing Cousins, the Packers are playing the best football right now despite playing with a young roster.
It takes time for any team to develop chemistry, and to learn the game plan being installed by the coaching staff. It makes sense that as the season goes on, these hungry, eager players are learning through their mistakes, and improving as the season goes on. They have been learning on the fly, and really had the most growth potential of any team in the league.

Whatever you think of the Jaire Alexander situation, him not playing as allowed others like Carrington Valentine and Corey Ballentine to step in solidify the secondary this season.
Green Bay Packers Offense
The most important aspect of this team will remain to be the quarterback position. And since overcoming some early struggles, Jordan Love is looking more comfortable, and more confident in his decision making.

In his last three games, Jordan Love has thrown for 8 total touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and has had over a 100 QB rating in these outings. Throwing for over 260 yards as well, he is not just managing the game, but making necessary plays, while avoiding the costly turnovers.
Here are the remaining that the Packers will play against, in order; Giants, Buccaneers, Panthers, Vikings, and Bears. It would not be surprising if the Packers are favored in all of them. With the following teams remaining to close out the season, it is very possible that the Green Bay Packers not only win out, but are also able to overtake the Lions as eventual divisional champions.
