REPORT: Green Bay Packers Fans Shocked By New York Jets Quarterback Trade News

The Green Bay Packers will be entering the 2024 season with, what many believe, their next franchise quarterback.  By the end of the 2023 season, Jordan Love had convinced the NFL world that he had what it took to at least get another opportunity to show the NFL he can be the face of the Packers’ franchise for years to come.

The New York Jets, however, had some pretty interesting news regarding the future of their quarterback position.

The New York Jets Announce Huge Trade Interest

According to Jaclyn Hendricks of The New York Post:

Zach Wilson’s days with the Jets are nearing an end.

The former second-overall pick in 2021 has been granted permission to seek a trade, Jets general manager Joe Douglas said Wednesday during the 2024 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, according to The Post’s Brian Costello.

It’s been a turbulent tenure for the 24-year-old Wilson, who was thrust into action this season after starting quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered a season-ending injury just four plays into the team’s Week 1 win versus the Bills.

Wilson threw for 2,271 yards, eight touchdowns and seven interceptions through 12 regular season games in 2023.

Green Bay Packers Fans React To The News On Social Media

When Packers fans saw that Rodgers’ potential successor in New York was on the brink of being traded, they reacted accordingly on social media:
