The Minnesota Vikings recently lost a legendary team member, and Green Bay Packers fans responded to the news. Former Vikings quarterback Joe Kapp died. He was famous for winning an NFL Championship and leading the Vikings to their first Super Bowl appearance against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl IV.

Per a Fox News report, Kapp battled dementia for the last 15 years of his life:
“Kapp had suffered from Alzheimer’s disease these last few years. Kapp’s son, J.J., told The San Francisco Chronicle late Monday night that his father had died “after a 15-year battle with dementia.”

Kapp was a legendary quarterback who succeeded at the college and pro levels. He led his college program, California, to its last Rose Bowl appearance in 1958. Not long after news came out that Kapp had died, Packers fans had classy responses to remember the Vikings great. Here are the best takes from Packers fans on Kapp’s death.

Joe Kapp was a tough customer against the #Packers, winning five of their six games from 1967 to 1969. His best game against Green Bay was the one he lost, throwing 2 TD passes in a 30-27 shootout at the Met on Dec. 3, 1967. https://t.co/mmERvkRnco

I was a Packers fan growing up, but Joe Kapp was a football player I rooted for. So tough.
