Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons is friends with Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love, but when they meet in the Wild Card round on Sunday, the word “friend” won’t be in his vocabulary.
Parsons warned Love as much in the latest episode of his The Edge podcast, highlighting that he will compete and give it his all regardless of his relationship with the Packers signal-caller.
“Yes I said, Jordan is a friend of mine. But we are not friends on Sunday. This is gonna be a great matchup,” Parsons shared.

Sure enough, Jordan Love wouldn’t want it any other way as well. It is his first playoff appearance as the Green Bay Packers’ QB1, and he certainly wants to make the most of it. He wouldn’t let his friendship with Micah Parsons get in the way of that goal.
Jordan Love Focused on Green Bay Packers’ Playoff Game vs. Dallas Cowboys
For what it’s worth, Jordan Love himself doesn’t seem to be thinking too much about facing Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys. Instead, he’s focused on himself and what he can do to better gear himself for what is expected to be a tough showdown.
Love himself shared as much in a recent interview. While he knows the atmosphere of a playoff game is different–not to mention that they will be on the road–the young quarterback is trying his best to have the same approach as any other game. He knows very well that he can’t let the moment overwhelm him, especially on a stage where his teammates expect him to be at his best.
“Every game I go through a checklist of what I tell myself, things to try to tell myself to relax, calm down, see the game, let it come to me, and just focus on all the little details that I can focus on, control what I can control,” Love explained, via ESPN.
“So I don’t think it will be any different than any other game. Obviously, it will be an away game, it will be a loud environment. So just trying to get my feet and get settled into the game will be huge.”
It remains to be seen how Love and the rest of the Packers will fare come the Wild Card round. So far, though, the Green Bay faithful got to love how their rising star quarterback is handling himself and the pressure that comes with the postseason.
