Matt LaFleur Sends Strong Message to Green Bay Packers After Devastating Loss Vs. Denver Broncos

The Green Bay Packers can’t afford to fall apart right now. This could very easily be the team’s default reaction after suffering their third straight loss, which came in the form of a very disappointing 19-17 loss to a Denver Broncos side that has had its fair share of struggles early in the season.

To make matters worse, the Packers were coming off their bye week. Talk about killing whatever momentum they hoped to have heading into the mid-way point of the season.

Matt LaFleur Wants Green Bay Packers to ‘Stick Together’

Head coach Matt LaFleur was understandably upset after the loss. His team looked uninspired throughout the game, and while they attempted to mount a comeback in the second half, the Packers ultimately fell short en route to their fourth loss in six games.

Despite their undeniably brutal run of late, LaFleur remains steadfast. In fact, the 43-year-old is adamant that now would be a perfect time for Green Bay to show its resolve:

“It’s a true test to all of us,” LaFleur said, via Mike Spofford of the team wesbite. “It is extremely frustrating, I think the only thing you can do (is stick together). It tests your resolve.

“I do believe in the guys in that locker room, the character that we have. But it does test you, no question about it.”

The aftermath of Sunday’s loss, in particular, is going to be an extremely tough test for the Packers. They return to action on Sunday against NFC North rivals, the Minnesota Vikings, and it goes without saying that there’s going to be a lot riding on that one.

Will Packers Stick With Matt LaFleur?

While LaFleur wants his players to stick together, the big question now is whether or not the organization will stick with him. LaFleur’s future with the team has recently been put into question amid Green Bay’s rough start to the season. We are now nearing the halfway mark of the campaign and unfortunately, it appears that the Packers are getting worse game after game.

There have already been calls for LaFleur’s head, and at this point, it seems that the front office’s resolve on their head coach will also be put to the test.
