Mason Crosby was a staple for the Green Bay Packers organization for years. He kicked for 16 years and had some huge playoff moments for the team. The team decided to move on to rookie Anders Carlson this year leaving Crosby as a free agent. While he has gotten some workouts, he hasn’t signed with a team. Another NFC team, the New Orleans Saints, is bringing in Crosby for a workout.

Former Green Bay Packers Kicker Mason Crosby To The Saints?
The Saints haven’t liked what they have seen out of their rookie kicker. He has missed some crucial kicks and is 24/30 on the season. Despite a strong performance on Sunday, the team is looking at all options. Crosby would make a lot of sense. His career field goal success rate of 81.4% and a lot of his struggles were early in his career. In his later years, his percentages went way up. The only concern with Crosby is his age. The 39-year-old has lost some of his leg power over the years which would be a concern for some teams.
Will Crosby Finally Get A Job?
It seems odd with all the kicker struggles that teams are having that someone wouldn’t give Crosby a chance. He has everything you want in a kicker. Crosby has the accuracy as well as the benefit of high-pressure, clutch kicks under his belt. For a team like the Saints that are trying to make a playoff push, every point counts. A couple of games may come down to whether the kicker can nail a 41-yard field goal. Crosby would not be phased by the moment.
For Green Bay Packers fans, it would be cool to see Mason Crosby kick again. He brought so many awesome moments to the franchise and even on another team it would be great to see him kick again.
