The Green Bay Packers have a pretty young pass-catching crew at this point in the offseason, but one veteran could be joining the team shortly. Head coach Matt LaFleur said recently he was expecting to see what the Packers had in their young players by letting them compete instead of worrying about outside veteran help. But one veteran has reportedly caught the Packers’ attention before the practice phase of OTAs.
The Green Bay Packers workout a wide receiver
According to Tom Pelissero with the NFL Network, Keke Coutee is working out for the Packers Tuesday. Coutee is considered a possible replacement for Randall Cobb, who departed for the New York Jets this offseason. Coutee offers more than wide receiver help, as he can be used as a punt returner.

Coutee is a former fourth-round pick by the Houston Texans in 2018. He signed with the Indianapolis Colts and played there for the 2021-22 seasons. Coutee has 85 receptions for 966 yards and four touchdowns in his NFL career. He averaged 8.9 yards per punt return for the Colts last season. Coutee earned a 37.5 overall grade from Pro Football Focus for his play in 2022. His highest graded season (68.2) came in 2020 when he recorded 400 yards receiving and three touchdowns receptions.
