Before the Kansas City Chiefs decimated the San Francisco 49ers to win the Super Bowl, the NFL released the latest batch of players to make the Hall of Fame. Among those named were Julius Peppers, an outside linebacker who played three years for the Green Bay Packers.
Just recently, the NFL released the modern-day inductees in an Honors program in Las Vegas, the location of Super Bowl LVIII. Peppers was among those inductees, thanks to all the years he played for teams like the Carolina Panthers, Chicago Bears, and Green Bay Packers.
Pepper’s induction into the Hall of Fame is a fitting act that credits his work in the NFL. As it stands, he ranks fourth in the all-time sacks list and among the few stars who were named to the league’s All-Decade team for the 2000s and 2010s.
While most of his career was spent playing for the Carolina Panthers, Peppers’ time in Green Bay was still a highlight during his time in the NFL. Among the high points during his stint with the Packers is being named to the Pro Bowl in 2015.

Speaking before the media, Peppers shares his feelings about being selected to the Hall of Fame. In an article by Joseph Person for The Athletic:
“It feels great. It’s still surreal. It’s still a little bit unbelievable to be a part of such a selective type of fraternity, type of group of players — the greatest ever to play the game,” Peppers told Steve Wyche of NFL Network. “I’ve always looked up to the players that came up and greeted us on the stage tonight. The Ray Lewises. The Michael Irvins and the Charles Haleys.”
Peppers’ Hall of Fame selection justifies all the great work he did in the NFL. And even though his career is mostly associated with the Panthers, there’s no denying he did amazing things with the Packers as well.
