The Green Bay Packers have been playing extremely well in recent weeks due in large part to the performance of quarterback Jordan Love. Not only has Love played solid football, he has looked the part of a legitimate superstar. Without Love on the field, the Packers would have floundered and headed towards a top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Love has proven that he is the long-term franchise quarterback that the Packers were hoping he would become. He has done that in less than one full season and has actually looked even better than Aaron Rodgers did most of last season.
Due to his impressive play of late, Love has been starting to get some notice as a potential MVP candidate. While he likely won’t win the award, he deserves to be in the conversation.
Green Bay Packers’ Jordan Love Has Been More Valuable To His Team Than Lamar Jackson In One Major Stat
In a new statistic revealed by a Packers’ fan on Twitter, Love actually has accounted for a lot more scoring than Jackson. Love is responsible for 80% of Green Bay’s scoring, while Jackson sits at just 56% in the same statistic.
The #Packers have scored 42 total TDs this year.
Jordan Love is responsible for 34 (80%) of them…
By comparison, Lamar Jackson is responsible for only 56% of the Ravens TDs.

Granted, taking a look at one specific statistic does not make an MVP. However, Love has been the key component to the Green Bay Packers’ resurgence in the second half of the season.
It would take a lot for Jackson not to win the NFL MVP award. The national media is all about him winning it and he is the popular pick. Also, team record does play a factor in the selection and the Ravens have been much better than the Packers this season.
That being said, this is a number that Green Bay fans should remember and be very happy about. Love has been more instrumental in this run than anyone will truly give him credit for in the grand scheme of the season. This number speaks volumes when it comes to the future under center for the Packers.
Expect to hear even more conversations about the Green Bay Packers’ quarterback if the team can beat the Chicago Bears in Week 18 and get into the playoffs. Love leading a playoff run would open a lot of eyes around the NFL.
