Jordan Love’s improvement in his first season as the Green Bay Packers’ starting quarterback has been nothing short of surprising. Of course, part of the credit goes to Matt LaFleur for coaching the young star to reach his true potential in the NFL.
With a trade that sent Aaron Rodgers to the New York Jets, Love was handed the keys to the franchise as its primary quarterback. The result is a foundational piece for the league’s youngest piece, one that has the potential to make it big in the coming years.
And even though the San Francisco 49ers ended the Packers’ season recently, there’s hope that the team can take another leap in the offseason via the draft or signing talented free agents. The same goes too for Love as he enters the offseason with a tremendous challenge to improve more.
In any case, a lot of eyes will be on Love and the Packers next season to see whether what they’ve built is sustainable or if it’s just a fluke.
Green Bay Packers’ Jordan Love Reveals What Makes Matt LaFleur a Great Coach
In all of these praises for Love, the quarterback never forgot to give LaFleur his flowers for being a great head coach for Green Bay. In an interview posted on the Packers’ official website, Love shares the following:
“I think that’s what makes him a great coach because he finds ways to listen to what the players have to say and kinda change the way he coaches based on that,” Love said when asked about LaFleur.
While LaFleur constantly looks intense while the Packers are playing, this revelation by Love elevates the coach to another level. And with a roster filled with young guys, it makes sense for the players to play with their hearts out if someone like LaFleur coaches the way he does.
The Packers will enter next season with LaFleur and Love leading the way. With them in the driver’s seat, Green Bay is expected to have another successful run soon.
