The Lions have been struggling for years, but they have recently turned things around and showed some improvement. They now want to lock up one of their best players.
Green Bay Packers Rival Jared Goff Could Be Getting Extended
The Detroit Lions are currently having one of their best seasons in franchise history. The team is performing exceptionally well, and if they can beat the San Francisco 49ers, they might have a shot at winning a Super Bowl. Jared Goff, the Lions’ quarterback, has been leading the team and proving his critics wrong.
The Lions made a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, which involved swapping QBs Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford, along with some draft picks. This trade has almost paid off for both teams, with the Rams winning a Super Bowl in 2022 and the Lions having a chance to win this year with Goff leading the team.
On Sunday morning, rumors surfaced of Goff getting an extension with the Lions. The Lions want to lock up their franchise quarterback for possibly the rest of his career.
