The Green Bay Packers have had a few major questions regarding the safety position this offseason. They answered a minor one on Monday. The Packers watched Adrian Amos jump into the free agency pool. General manager Brian Gutekunst said recently the team was leaving the door open for Amos to return. The door appears to be closing after they signed Jonathan Owens Friday.
Green Bay Packers cut a safety
The Packers announced Monday another safety whose time is finished in Green Bay. According to a statement by the Packers, they are releasing James Wiggins. The Packers signed Wiggins to a reserve/futures contract on January 10th.

Wiggins was a seventh-round pick by the Arizona Cardinals in 2021. He played in three games for the Cardinals on the special teams unit. Wiggins spent time on the Kansas City Chiefs practice squad in 2021. Wiggins did not make it to the practice phase of the Packers OTAs.
