The Green Bay Packers got a much needed win on Sunday by downing the Los Angeles Rams 20-3. It was an incredible performance by the defense who shut down an offense with many weapons. Yes, the offense was led by backup quarterback Brett Rypien, however, any time you hold an NFL offense to three points it is something to celebrate.
Today a report surfaced that the Packers released a veteran after the win that was a bit surprising.
Green Bay Packers Release Veteran Running Back James Robinson After Win Vs. Los Angeles Rams

The Packers are releasing RB James Robinson from the practice squad, per source.
In October, running back James Robinson signed with the Packers practice squad to try and get back on the field, but it appears he will need to find another way.
During his brief stay in Green Bay, he never made the Packers’ gameday roster.
The offseason saw Robinson spend time with both the Patriots and Giants after splitting last season between the Jaguars and Jets.
He ran for 1,070 yards as an undrafted rookie in 2020, then had 767 yards in 14 games the following year before tearing his Achilles tendon. Since returning from that injury, he hasn’t had the same success, and he’ll have to find another team to prove he still has something to offer.
Robinson had appeared in 39 career games, starting 32 of them. He will offer veteran presence for the next team that is willing to take a chance on him.
Many Packers fans were excited about the possibility of having Robinson as RB3 on the roster, and possibly even RB2 if A.J. Dillon’s struggles continued. Dillon, however, has put together some solid performances over the last few weeks.
Minus the Vikings game where he only received six rushing attempts, he has averaged over 4 yards per carry and at least 40 rushing yards two out of the last three weeks. It is possible the Packers are regaining their confidence in what Dillon can contribute to this offense.
