The Green Bay Packers have advanced to the divisional round of the NFL Playoffs behind a dominating 48-32 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday afternoon. Jordan Love was stellar once again, completing 16 of 21 passes (76%) for 272 yards and three touchdowns. His 157.2 passer rating in the game is the highest in NFL history for a quarterback making his playoff debut. Additionally, his 99.8 QBR in the game is the highest in any playoff game in league history.
Aside from allowing 16 points with the game out of reach in the fourth quarter, Green Bay’s defense played extremely well. Four players (Preston Smith, Lukas Van Ness, De’Vondre Campbell, and Keisean Nixon) recorded sacks of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott. Two players, Jaire Alexander and Darnell Savage, picked off Prescott in the first half. Savage returned his interception 59 yards for a touchdown.
Alexander was a game-time decision leading up to kickoff after he sustained an ankle injury in practice this week. He also left the game early after aggravating his ankle, but not before he had a profound impact on the game.
During and after the game, Alexander took the opportunity to have some fun with the Cowboys and a certain Packers beat reporter who disrespected him earlier in the week.
Green Bay Packers Cornerback Jaire Alexander Trolls Dallas Cowboys Fans During the Game
Alexander picked off a Prescott pass to All-Pro wide receiver CeeDee Lamb in the second quarter of the game. While not intercepting a pass all season, Alexander’s first of the year could not have come in a bigger moment:

As seen at the end of the clip, Alexander exchanges some words with Cowboys fans seated near the endzone. Former Packers pass rusher Mike Daniels has said all year that the Packers have been lacking a player who will give them, particularly the defense, a mean edge.
Alexander’s antics after the interception are exactly what Daniels wanted:
Jaire staredown to those fans after the near pick 6 lmao. He’s a prick and I love it

Jaire Alexander Calls Dak Prescott One of His Top Quarterbacks
Alexander’s interception on Sunday was not his first against Prescott and the Cowboys. Alexander also picked him off in October 2019 during a regular season game.
After the game, Alexander called Prescott on of his top quarterbacks because of the multiple interceptions he has against him:

“There’s a few quarterbacks who’ve thrown me multiple picks in my career and Dak is now one of them, so he’s among my top QBs.”
Jaire Alexander Ignores Question from Green Bay Packers Reporter Who Bad-Mouthed Him Earlier This Week
Earlier this week, Packers beat reporter Rob Demovksy, who works for ESPN, appeared on a Dallas sports radio show. The hosts said, “Fill in the blank, Rob: Jaire Alexander is..,” and Demovsky responded: “All about Jaire Alexander.”
They then asked him if he thinks Alexander is a great cornerback on the field, to which Demovsky replied,
“I think when he wants to be and when he’s fully engaged. And I’m just not sure that’s where he is right now. It’s been a weird, weird run for him, and I could say a weird dude to finish that sentence. He’s a different guy.
“I still think he’s a good player, I just don’t think he’s ever going to be the player he was in 2020-2021 when he was an All-Pro guy.”
After the game, Demvosky asked Alexander what happened to his ankle on Wednesday. After taking a long, hard look at the reporter, Alexander answered: “I don’t know.”

After missing 10 regular season games this year, Alexander was the recipient of more than his fair share of criticism in the media and from fans.
It is nice to see him shut them up.
