The Green Bay Packers had two goals going into their Bye Week: figure out what they are doing wrong and get healthy. Time will tell if they accomplished that first goal, but the second goal certainly was not met. Despite not playing a game in Week Six, the Packers will enter their Week Seven matchup against the Denver Broncos with 10 players on their injury report.
When addressing the media on Friday, head coach Matt LaFleur listed just one player as doubtful: De’Vondre Campbell. The 2021 First Team All Pro linebacker suffered a high ankle sprain at the beginning of Green Bay’s Week Three win over the New Orleans Saints.
9 Players Are Listed As Questionable on the Green Bay Packers Injury Report
According to LaFleur, the nine players that are listed as questionable are:
- Aaron Jones
- Jaire Alexander
- Quay Walker
- Devonte Wyatt
- Elgton Jenkins
- Darnell Savage
- Eric Stokes
- Yosh Nijman
- Zayne Anderson
Of the players listed, Alexander and Jenkins were the only two who did not practice at all on Friday. All the others were limited.
Which Green Bay Packers Players Have a Chance to Play?
During his press conference, LaFleur said that Jenkins being held out of practice was more “precautionary” than anything. However, Alexander popped up on the injured list yesterday with the back injury that caused him to miss the Packers’ loss to the Detroit Lions. He played in Week Five, but was not 100%.
When asked about Jones’ availability for the upcoming game against Denver, LaFleur said, “Well, he’s been limited all week, so we’ll see how he feels.” Jones has missed three of Green Bay’s past four games and did not see the field much in their Week Four loss.
Earlier this week, it was revealed the Jones was all set to play against the Raiders, but he went a little too hard in practice and tweaked his hamstring. Though he wanted to play, LaFleur told Jones that he did not feel good about it.
Jenkins returned in Week Five after missing two games with a sprained MCL. As noted above, his not practicing on Friday was for precautionary reasons.
Zayne Anderson and Eric Stokes have yet to play in a game this season. Green Bay has until two days after the Broncos game to clear Stokes to return to game play.
Both Walker (knee) and Savage (calf) were injured in the loss to the Raiders and missed significant portions of the game.
Wyatt is also dealing with a knee injury, but was a limited participant in practice all week.
