The Green Bay Packers will rely on the throwing arm of Jordan Love against the Dallas Cowboys. With so much at stake for this team, it will be interesting how the signal-caller can perform in his first playoff action as a starter.
Three paths can emerge from this game. Win and impress the naysayers, lose close with much to build on for next year, or lose convincingly and have many criticizing the strength of schedule as the only reason that wins were had this season.
Luckily for Jordan Love, a lot of these outside concerns are not at the forefront of his mind. While he may not be one to express how he views the critics, at least not publically, his girlfriend is carrying the public defense for him. Ronika Stone who herself is a professional volleyball player is keeping tabs on what people are saying about Love and making sure that those who criticize him will be able to see their words when he finds success.
Including posts asking if he can play wide receiver and lamenting the fact that a first-round draft pick was used on him, there appears to be something of a library that Stone holds containing all of the negative messages and sentiments regarding Love.
In a TikTok post, the two could be seen dancing and smiling at some of the suggestions while noting that this Green Bay Packers team is the youngest group to reach the playoffs in the NFL this year.
Green Bay Packers Chances Against The Cowboys
It will be quite a feat and statement if this team can go down to Arlington, Texas, and defeat one of the most talked about teams in all of sports. While Love will likely always have critics and those who say that he doesn’t belong at this level, a win on Sunday will certainly make those who continue that narrative look foolish.
While some are complaining that he has not looked good despite already being in the league for a couple of years, they are missing the larger point. Sitting behind and preparing the week throughout practice as the backup in the NFL is night and day to leading the Green Bay Packers on a potential playoff run.
After a less-than-ideal start, Love has turned things around and is looking like one of the better quarterbacks in the league right now. And this only makes sense. With increased time, game reps, and first-team snaps both in games and in practice his potential is being unlocked slowly but surely.
There has already been remarkable and noticeable growth from him this season and that will only increase as he gets playoff experience and a full off-season training camp under his belt.
In a social media era that rushes for instant gratification and instant results waiting for things to marinate and develop has become something of a lost art.
While the Green Bay Packers legacy will not be defined by one game, a win will certainly go a long way in putting some of the narratives to rest and will allow him to continue to be in conversations that other notable, elite quarterbacks of this league are in.
