The Green Bay Packers, over the last couple of weeks, have dealt with injury problems, and running back Aaron Jones came back to practice on Thursday. There was no one on the injury report on Thursday for Green Bay, and this is good news ahead of Sunday’s matchup with the 3-5 Los Angeles Rams.
Injuries are one of the things that have derailed the Packers’ season, as they sit with a 2-5 record on the year. Aaron Jones will need more than seven carries and four receptions on Sunday against the Rams if they will end this four-game losing streak.
Jones has been dealing with hamstring issues all season long, and this will probably still be a thing throughout the second half of the Packers’ 2023 NFL regular season. The offense needs to run the football more, but the offensive line and quarterback Jordan Love have also struggled this season.
Aaron Jones being at Green Bay Packers practice is a good thing, and Head Coach Matt LaFleur Must Use Him More
If Jones does play on Sunday against the Rams, and it is trending in that direction, he has to see more touches. If not, there will be angry Packers fans, and his brother will also get angry again. More Jones is a good thing for this football team. His hamstring has not been the same since Week 1, when he injured it against the Chicago Bears, which feels like a lifetime ago.
AJ Dillon is not very good and hasn’t produced for the last couple of seasons. Also, head coach Matt LaFleur does not trust rookie running back Emanuel Wilson in the backfield either.
Also, the Packers having cornerback Jaire Alexander back at practice is a good thing as well. Alexander missed last week’s game against the Minnesota Vikings with a back injury and has missed a couple of games due to injury this season as well. Hopefully, there will be no one on the injury report on Friday, and that includes Jaire Alexander and Aaron Jones.
