Green Bay Packers And Denver Broncos Anticipated To Pursue Trade Before Week 7 Matchup

The Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos are gearing up for their Week Seven Matchup.  The Packers (2-3) are coming off their bye week and looking to get back on track after two straight losses to the Lions and Saints.

The Broncos (1-5) are already in desperation mode as they expected to be much better than a .167 winning percentage.  As Denver starts to think about their long-term mentality, they have made it known that trades are on the table.  Could one happen with the Packers before they matchup against each other?

NFL Exec Lists A Green Bay Packers – Denver Broncos Trade That Involves Jerry Jeudy Prior To Their Week 7 Matchup

Kenneth Teape of NFL Analysis Network revealed how this trade could happen:

A former NFL executive who spoke to NFL Analysis Network believes there is one player who would help alleviate some of their problems. In the executive’s opinion, making a trade for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy would make the most sense for the team.

“Looking at the trade market, I think there is one player that makes sense over any other for the Packers. Jordan Love could use more help. Going after Jerry Jeudy would make sense both now and for the future in Green Bay.”

According to reports last week, the Broncos are likely to trade Jeudy ahead of the October 31st deadline. Sitting at 1-5 after their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 6 on Thursday Night Football, it should be no surprise that Denver is looking to be a seller.

Jeudy is arguably the best trade chip rumored to be available from the team; that would change if Patrick Surtain II was made available. For the Packers, Jeudy would solve some of their issues at the wide receiver position, as they are lacking established depth. Still only 24 and in his fourth season in the NFL, the 2020 first-round pick would lap the field in terms of experience and production at this level.

This Isn’t Even Close To The First Time The Packers Have Been Linked To Jeudy

Where there is smoke, there is usually fire.  The Packers have been long linked to Jeudy.  Even dating back to last season.  It feels like 2023 could be the year it actually happens (if the Packers are interested in adding to their WR group).

The Broncos will not have a second-round draft pick in 2024. The Packers will have two second-round picks and history has shown they like to spend second round draft picks on wide receivers. It could be a win-win for both sides (given other trade compenstaion is added).
