The Green Bay Packers have several special teams players battling for roster spots this offseason. We received one answer Monday evening. The Packers headed into the weekend with two kickers, two punters, and two long snappers.
The Packers signed running back Emanuel Wilson Monday morning. With an extra player on the roster, the team had to make a cut. According to a statement by the Packers, they cut Parker White.
The sole kicking job on the roster in Green Bay belongs to Anders Carlson, who was taken in last month’s draft. With White’s dismissal, it’ll be interesting to see if the Packers add another kicker to the roster this offseason. The Packers coaching staff said last week that they were still in communication with Mason Crosby.
