The Green Bay Packers are going through “growing pains” so far in 2023. After an off-season that saw the Packers become one of the youngest teams in the NFL, it was to be expected. However, many fans are wanting the team to make moves that can help the team not only this year, but for years to come.
The Packers offense in particular is one of the youngest groups in the NFL. While the youth creates for excitement going forward, adding a bonafide star player (or two) who could grow with the team for years would be extremely beneficial. As it turns out, one player who has been linked to the Packers in the past is now officially on the trade block.
Green Bay Packers Fans Excited To Hear Denver Broncos’ Wide Receiver Courtland Sutton Is On The Trade Block
According to multiple reports:
Report: Some NFL teams believe that the #Broncos will listen to trade offers for WRs Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton, as well as players on defense, per ESPN.
The report adds “Nobody’s trading for Russell Wilson’s contract.” The report also says that Denver is not interested in parting ways with star CB Pat Surtain, because they see him as a building block.
A wide receiver like Sutton should be among the Packers’ top choices if they decide to trade for one this season. As a 28-year-old, he is still very much in the prime of his career. Jordan Love would have plenty of firepower through the air for yeras to come with a veteran wide receiver alongside Christian Watson and Romeo Doubs.
Sutton was extended by the Broncos for four years and $60.8 million in November 2021. A cap hit of $18.3 million will be imposed in 2024 under his contract that runs through 2025. A trade after June 1 would save Denver $14.4 million in 2023 and incur dead-cap charges of $3.8 million in 2023 and $7.7 million in 2024.
Aaron Rodgers’ trade will result in extra draft capital for the Packers in 2024, as well as compensatory picks for all free agents the Packers did not resign. If the Packers want to builid their wide receiver position for 2023 and beyond, Sutton would be a nice addition.

Oh look, where’s the basis for any of this information? None, it’s fiction, packer fans know the team sucks and the future is the hope.
The only big move the packers should make, is to replace Dave at left OT
