The Chicago Bears followed up their Week 1 loss to the Green Bay Packers with a disheartening 27-17 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. At this point, the Bears are the only 0-2 team in the NFC North along with the Minnesota Vikings, who likewise remain winless through the first two weeks of the season.
There’s no denying that it’s still way too early to make sweeping declarations about the Bears, but at the same time, you can’t really say that this was the type of start Chicago fans were hoping for this year.
Justin Fields Disappointing Again for Chicago Bears in Week 2

Amid all the disappointment stands Justin Fields, who let’s just say hasn’t been able to live up to the lofty expectations fans had on him early on. The former first-round pick was completely outplayed by Jordan Love in their Week 1 showdown, and true to form, the Chicago QB turned in another forgettable performance against the Bucs.
Fields went 16-of-29 on his passes for 211 yards. He did throw one touchdown, but at the same time, his two interceptions turned out to be costly for Chicago. Fans were hoping for a bounceback performance after his lackluster showing in their season opener, but supporters were left utterly disappointed after seeing what Fields brought to the table against Tampa Bay.
Funniest Justin Fields Reactions from Green Bay Packers, Chicago Bears Fans

Unsurprisingly, the mean streets of Twitter went all in on Justin Fields amid his dismal start to the campaign. You just know that Packers fans were going to get in on the action, but apparently, even Bears supporters are starting to turn on their cornerstone quarterback:
Bears fans told me I need to watch more tape to get educated on how great Fields is. pic.twitter.com/qvU8bi4UcT

Of course, there are still a lot of Chicago supporters on Twitter who have come out to offer their unwavering support for Fields. After all, it’s not as if they have much of a choice.

Things only get tougher for Fields and the Bears in Week 3 as they take on Patrick Mahomes and the defending champions Kansas City Chiefs. Then again, if Fields wanted to come out with a statement, then there would be no better way to do it than with a magnificent bounce-back performance against the champs.
