Former Green Bay Packers star Charles Woodson couldnโt help but express his admiration for Jordan Love after the young quarterback fueled the Packs to an astounding win over the Minnesota Vikings in Week 17.
Woodsonโwho played for the Packers from 2006 to 2012 and won the Super Bowl XLV with the team in 2011โ took to X (formerly Twitter) to share how impressed he is with the rising star. He highlighted how โspecialโ the 25-year-old signal-caller is, highlighting his disbelief on what Love is currently doing.
โMan this Love is growing into something special,โ Woodson wrote.

Is Charles Woodson seeing the second coming of Rodgers in Jordan Love? Maybe, maybe not. But hey, Love has certainly proven that he is his own man. As a full-time starter for the first time in his career, the former Utah State standout is even establishing himself as the next big thing in Green Bayโif he isnโt already.
Love definitely deserves the recognition from the former Green Bay Packers Pro Bowler. When the team needed him the most on Sunday, he delivered.
The Packers needed the win in Week 17 in order to keep their playoff hopes alive. Love stepped up big time, recording 256 yards and three touchdowns on 24-of-33 pass completion. He also had one rushing TD as they dominated and took the 33-10 victory.
Green Bayโs defense is equally deserving of credit, but without Loveโs offensive brilliance and stability, the win wouldnโt have been possible. Itโs actually Loveโs eight game of the season where he threw multiple touchdowns and recorded zero interception. Only he and Brock Purdy of the San Francisco 49ers are able to do that this 2023.
The next big challenge for Love is to lead the Packers to the playoffs. But with the confidence heโs playing with, thereโs no reason to doubt him.
Sure enough, Charles Woodson and all of Green Bay will have their eyes peeled on Love as they prepare for the season-finale.

Jordan Love Excited To Lead Green Bay Packers to Playoffs
The Green Bay Packers are 8-8 on the season and seventh in the NFC, giving them the last Wild Card spot in the conference. If they beat the Chicago Bears in Week 18, they are going to the playoffs.
While that is such a ton of pressure for a young signal-caller who is still learning the ropes of being a starting quarterback, Love isnโt running away from the challenge. In fact, heโs embracing it. That much is clear based on his comments after their win over the Vikings.
โIt means a lot [to be in playoff position]. This is exactly the situation weโve been working for all offseason, all through training camp to get ready to put ourselves in a position to make the playoffs,โ Love said, via Sports Illustrated.
โIt hasnโt been easy all year. Thereโs been a lot of highs and lows, a lot of adversity and we didnโt know what to expect coming into the year. We didnโt have any expectations, so I think everybodyโs just continued to work, continued to find ways to get better and weโre controlling our destiny right now. So, Iโm excited to go handle business next week.โ
That is exactly the kind of mentality the Packers want to see from their QB. Hopefully, Love and the rest of the team can really get the job done this time.
