Matt LaFleur and the Green Bay Packers have their work cut out for them in Week 18 action. They will take on the arch-rival Chicago Bears with an opportunity to get into the playoffs on the line. If the Packers pull off the win, they will lock up at least the No. 7 seed in the NFC playoff picture and could move up to No. 6 with some help.
Obviously, this is a familiar situation for Packers fans. Just last season, Green Bay had a chance in Week 18 to get into the playoffs, led by Aaron Rodgers. Unfortunately, they ended up getting dominated by the Detroit Lions in that game, which led to Rodgers being traded.
Jordan Love is looking to turn things around and come up with a different result this year. It won’t be easy, but the Packers are the better team, at least on paper.
Justin Fields and the Bears have been surging of late. They are a much better team than the one the Packers blew out in Week 1.
All of that being said, let’s dive in and take a look at three quick bold predictions for the Green Bay Packers as they face the Bears on Sunday.
3 Bold Predictions For The Green Bay Packers In Week 18
3. The Green Bay Packers Force Three Turnovers
First up, the Green Bay defense will need to step up once again this week. After weeks of Joe Barry hate speech among Packers’ fans, the defense performed very well against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday Night Football last week. They will need to do more of the same this week.
Containing Fields is easier said than done. Chicago also has great weapons across the field.
Thankfully, the Packers’ defense will rise to the occasion. They will force three turnovers throughout the course of the game and give the offense a major chance to form another blowout.
2. Jordan Love Continues His MVP-Like Play
Throughout the second half of the season, Love has forced his way into the fringe MVP conversation. He isn’t going to win the award, but he has played like an MVP.
That will continue against a weak Bears’ defense. Love is going to have yet another impressive performance.
We are predicting that Love will throw for 275 more yards, three more touchdowns, and will not turn the football over at all. On the ground, Love will pick up 40 yards. That kind of performance is exactly what the Packers need from Love in basically a playoff game.
- 1. Green Bay Packers Beat The Bears Handily
Finally, the most important thing this week has to do with the outcome of the game. No matter what kind of individual performances the Packers receive, they need to win.
Going up against the Bears is never an easy task due to the rivalry aspect of the matchup. However, this week, the Packers are going to get things done.
Behind a masterful performance from Love and another big game from the defense, the Green Bay Packers will defeat the Bears by a final score of 31-17. It won’t be easy the whole game, but Green Bay will pull away in the second half.

I’m not seeing it. Despite the motivation for the Pack and what should be a lack for the Bears, this feels like an infamous old trap game (or maybe the fix is in like last year and Vegas needs to recoup by getting everyone to bet heavily on the Pack like last year!).
If the dog chases and catches the car, how does it end? Not good. I like what I am seeing despite Deadwood Barry’s failures. If they advance, I am afraid they won’t go far. I hope that most of the roster stays in place.
